Carlsbad, CA Carlsbad, CA Full-time Full-time $22 - $25 an hour $22 - $25 an hour 10 days ago 10 days ago 10 days ago The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the financial obligations of our company and affiliate resort properties by overseeing the processing and payment of invoices, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and accounted for, and resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
The ideal candidate for an Accounts Payable Specialist position should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
They should be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Additionally, proficiency with relevant software and systems, such as Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat and accounting software programs, is required.
Process invoices and prepare checks or electronic transfers for payment Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and other documents Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure that all invoices and payments are properly recorded and accounted for Communicate with vendors and management to resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices or payments Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper authorization Ensure that all payments are made in accordance with company policies and procedures Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure that all financial records are up-to-date and accurate Assist with month-end close processes and other financial reporting requirements as needed Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and process improvements to streamline the accounts payable function Stay current with industry trends and changes in accounting and financial regulations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Experience with AccountMate, SPI Orange or the resort hotel industry are a big plus.
