Summary:
1.
Assists in establishment of organizing and creating the mailing data base for all bereavement mailings.
Supports the bereavement volunteers as needed when doing mailings.
Develops and manages a calendar for the interns and their day-to-day responsibilities.

Ensures bereavement marketing collaterals are updated and ordered as needed in collaboration with marketing.

Supports Bereavement Department in maintaining files, reports, through data collection and entry, as well as creating spread sheets, and power point presentations.
4.
Supports event activities, including event meeting coordination, production timeline development, acting as assistant, taking notes, and supporting event staff and volunteers where needed.
Some evenings and weekends may be required.
5.
Conducts written post-event assessment, noting any discrepancies, including budget overruns and any unanticipated problems, with written recommendations for future improvements.
6.
Attend MFT and MSW intern consortiums and fairs to meet and screen potential candidates for HBC.
7.
Set-up background checks for potential interns or bereavement counselors (trainees' associates, etc.
) 8.
Set-up medical record checks (drug tests, TB, and Flu shots) for potential interns and counseling staff.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Credentials:
None
Experience:
Two to three years of experience in events management preferred.
Nonprofit experience and/or hospice experience strongly preferred.
Core Competencies:
Knowledgeable about basic general office procedures practices and equipment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10 operating system.
Ability to handle multiple demands, frequent interruptions and to prioritize work assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others maintaining a positive attitude.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
