This will include requesting quotes, generating purchase orders, issuing purchase orders and scheduling component deliveries in accordance with production/materials plan.
Basic Responsibilities Obtaining quotes with suppliers (preparing Request for Quote (RFQ) Generating and issuing purchase orders Working with suppliers for call off POs, economic reorder quantities, pricing optimization.
Coordinating with suppliers for component delivery to ensure on-time delivery.
Work with Production/Inventory for Kanban deliveries Ensure Purchasing procedures are followed and purchasing files maintained.
Generate reports for management for open PO status, PO valuation by cost center, etc.
Assist with forecast planning for component delivery Skills Attention to detail (essential) Medical device/Regulated industry experience (preferred-not required) Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets (beneficial) Experience with ERP systems (preferred) Ability to thrive in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Able to demonstrate problem solving skill through analytical reasoning and creative solutions.
Critical think skills essential.
5 years related experience (preferred).
