We are seeking an enthusiastic Communications Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team.
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the individual in this role will be responsible for developing and implementing effective internal and external communications strategies to promote our company and its products and services.

This opportunity is based in Carlsbad, California, but offers a hybrid work arrangement with some flexibility in hours and the option for full-time, in-office work.
Responsibilities:
Executing communication strategies to drive organizational goals, enhance the brand, and ensure brand-aligned content through exceptional copywriting and editing.
Serving as an in-house communications specialist, creating, and distributing press releases and various content types, including social media posts, thought leadership articles, internal emails, newsletters, video scripts, and presentations.
Collaborating with the broader graphics and marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and seek out opportunities for content, storylines, etc.
Assisting in monitoring media coverage and the company's social media presence, engaging with users, and implementing campaign messaging across platforms to support the evaluation of communication strategies and identify areas for improvement.
Supporting agency and media relations, responding to media inquiries, arranging interviews as needed, collaborating on editorial calendars to ensure comprehensive coverage, and assisting with various public relations tasks.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in public relations/communications; a background in the finance industry is an asset but not required.
Degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or equivalent work experience.
Creativity and curiosity in developing and implementing effective corporate communication strategies.
Familiarity with public relations/social media platforms and distribution channels.
Proven ability to write clear, persuasive, and compelling content.
Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for media coverage.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with industry trends, best practices, and professional standards.
