Gas Station Assistant Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team.
The Assistant Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the store operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with our company's reputation and standards.
This individual will assist the Store Manager in all aspects of the store's operations, including staff management, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service.
This position reports to the General Manager, and must be available to work on various shifts, including some weekends and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
Support daily operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and team member scheduling.
Oversee fuel transactions, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Monitor inventory levels, assist in stock ordering and manage vendor relationships.
Ensure cash handling procedures are followed, and daily reconciliations are accurate.
Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Assist in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
Assist with the management of store expenses and budgeting.
Ensure the store's cleanliness, both inside and out, meeting all health and safety standards Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring staff members.
Create team member schedule and manage attendance.
Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
Partner with General Manager to review team member performance and address performance concerns.
Ensures all training courses are completed and up to date for all staff, including Anti-Harassment, CPR / AED, etc.
Prepares all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
Responsible and supporter of the company's safety program.
Desired Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
3-5 years' experience as a gas station or convenience store manager.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in cashiering and inventory roles in a similar environment.
Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in basic computer applications (e.
g.
, Microsoft Office, Point of Sale systems).
Spanish speaking a plus.
