Senior Operations Research Analyst

Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods using a computer to develop and interpret information that assists management with financial decision making or other managerial functions.
Utilize Hyperion Essbase & Planning and apply OLAP and multidimensional concepts for developing planning, budgeting and forecasting solutions
Use Oracle Data Integrator to extract, transform and load data from different source systems into Hyperion.
Work onsite with financial professional end users to document their system requirements
Develop user requirement documents working with end users;
Document discussions with clients concerning an issue that they are looking to resolve using technology
Define data requirements and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests
Analyze information obtained from clients to define and formulate the operational and financial problems that they are experiencing
Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions;
Design and develop a solution using software technology
Collaborate with business users and others in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions
Design and build interface between legacy systems and Hyperion Solutions;
Design database structure based on user requirements
Build dimension load rules to build database structures
Build data load rules needed to load raw data to database
Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary
Develop reporting and planning solutions using MS Excel to build Excel macros and Hyperion Solution applications for web based analytical reporting solutions to meet client financial reporting needs
Build user reports using Hyperion Financial Reports, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Smartview
Develop and test business rules used to meet a clients specific reporting needs;
Perform quality assurance on newly developed system modules and assist on providing system maintenance to client IT solutions
Perform unit testing, user acceptance testing and system testing to ensure the developed solution works properly and meets the requirements
Train client on how to apply the software solution to their issue and develop training materials for end users
Collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
Apply professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risks to ensure successful delivery of the project
Understand and communicate stakeholder requirements to appropriate team members, and manage all requirements accordingly.
Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholders needs and requirements continuously in view.
Resolve any issues and resolve issues throughout the project life cycle. Identify risks, create risk logs and mitigate risks
Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task and provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed.
Create and provide status reports to sponsor outlining project state, milestone achievement, issues, risks and timeline.
Manage project scope by ensuring changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Operations Research, Engineering Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field or foreign equivalent plus 3 years experience (or Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Engineering Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field or foreign equivalent plus 5 years progressive experience) to include:
implementing enterprise performance management solutions using Oracle Hyperion Products namely Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning including requirements analysis, design and development
applying OLAP and multidimensional concepts for developing planning, budgeting and forecasting solutions using Essbase & Planning
Working closely with financial users and document requirements. Analyzing information obtained from clients to define and formulate the operational and financial problems that they are experiencing
developing web based financial reports using Hyperion reports and excel based reports using Smart-View.
Using Oracle data transformation products such as Oracle Data Integrator to extract data from source systems, transform it and load it to target Hyperion applications.
designing and building interface between legacy systems and Hyperion Solutions.
building database structure based on user requirements
designing and building dimension load rules to build database structures
building data load rules needed to load raw data to database
Applying multidimensional concepts and building operational reporting systems bases using Hyperion Essbase.
