Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods using a computer to develop and interpret information that assists management with financial decision making or other managerial functions;
Collaborate with senior management and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives;
Lead the design and architecture of enterprise performance management solutions using Oracle EPM suite or products including Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Financial Data Quality Management, Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle Business Intelligence.
Work onsite with financial end users to document their system requirements, define data requirements and create models and prototypes to validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests;
Play advisory role to executive management on best practices when implementing budgeting, consolidation and forecasting solutions.
Lead the design and development of master data management solutions using Oracle Data Relationship Management. Enforce business workflow and approval processes using Data Relationship Governance.
Day-to-day management of project scope, budget and client expectations.
Review and approve the day to day work produced by junior employees; Collaborate with offshore teams.
Design and build interface between legacy systems and Hyperion Solutions;
Design database structure based on user requirements;
Build metadata load rules to build database structures;
Build data load rules needed to load raw data to database;
Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary;
Mentor junior employees on developing skillsets with Hyperion OLAP technologies.
Develop planning and forecasting models using MS Excel, Hyperion Planning Workforce, Capex, Projects, Profitability and Cost Management and custom applications to meet client financial reporting and budgeting needs;
Perform unit testing, user acceptance testing and system testing to ensure the developed solution works properly and meets the requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Research or Management Science plus 4 years experience to include
- strategy, business, system, operations, financial analysis, knowledge management, organizational learning and decision making in various industries; project management, including business operations and financial analysis;
- developing decision making models; developing and applying benchmarking; formulating and interpreting project goals and strategies based on research findings and data analysis;
- developing advanced planning solutions using Hyperion Planning and Essbase; developing models to include salary and benefits planning, actual vs budget analysis, revenue and expenditure forecasting and balance sheet planning;
- designing and developing metadata building routines using Oracle Data Relationship Management, Oracle Data Integrator, Enterprise Performance Management Architect, Essbase Studio and Data Integration Management.
- designing and developing calculation scripts, business rules and MDX formulae for performing allocations, consolidations and other business-driven logic;
- developing and testing business rules and calculation scripts used to meet forecasting and reporting needs;
- providing training to end users and internal customers on using Hyperion products such as Planning, Essbase, Data Relationship Management, Financial Reports, Web Analysis;
- building Hyperion Workforce, Capex and Project planning models;
- using aggregate storage and block storage Essbase technologies to create financial consolidation models; setting up drill through to underlying data marts to allow transactional detail analysis;
- gathering requirements and building logical and physical relational data models using sources such as JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, SAS and Oracle E Business Suite; writing DOS, Unix, MaxL and Python scripts to automate deployment of data and metadata;
- developing web and MS Excel based reports, based on requirements, using Oracle Smart View, Oracle Financial Reports, Hyperion Web Analysis and Hyperion Interactive Reporting.
