SUMMARY
We currently have a full time opening for an Associate Marketing Manager at our Carlsbad, California headquarters.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting downstream marketing of multiple medical device products. This includes (but is not limited to) strategic planning and execution, product launches, lifecycle management, product positioning and messaging, analytics and decision making, and forecasting and production planning. This person will be expected to develop a comprehensive understanding of product portfolio and marketplace clinical and economic needs, including specific ways that new and existing products can be positioned or improved to drive market share.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Become an expert resource on products across various categories for internal and external audiences. Work with supply chain and finance to optimize product categories and lifecycles (including replacing, eliminating and/or sourcing products as necessary).
Serve as primary marketing liaison and resource for supply chain, document control, manufacturing, engineering and customer care.
Collaborate with Marketing Communications and Sales Training team members to develop marketing collateral and sales training materials. Participate with Marketing Communications department in development of print media including sell sheets, direct mail pieces, advertising as well as budgeting process for franchise tactical plan.
Assist with product launches, including forecasting, development of launch packets, competitive product assessments, marketing communications roll out.
Help determine product pricing by utilizing market research data, costing data, and other relevant information.
Drive product market share by working with field distribution through co-travel. Support the sales force through technical calls and marketing support needs from customers and representatives in a professional, clear and timely fashion.
Assist with the targeting and positioning of products by assessing market competition, customer needs and preferences, and reimbursement environment.
Responsible for monthly analysis and justification of product sales overages or under performance.
Monitor returns and complaints to keep abreast of quality issues and product improvement requirements.
Support marketing team with field sales requests, tradeshows, customer education events and other duties as needed.
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the companys policies and practices.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree. MBA is highly preferred.
2-5 years of product marketing experience within the medical device industry or equivalent knowledge.
Prior sales experience and orthopedic industry experience is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
