Job Description: Pre-IPO Video Technology Company that is well funded and growing, and are developing a new breed of enterprise-level software products for the commercial market. Through shrewd marketing and ability to offer a range of price points, this company has diversified their product line to attract small to large companies and institutions.
Our client is hiring multiple positions, including a key Senior PHP Web Developer to develop a SaaS new platform for their video-based products. A new CEO has infused enthusiasm for a new product development strategy that is driving increased sales.
You will be designing and coding their real-time, web-based systems that are hosted in the cloud using OO PHP and related technologies: node.JS, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, etc. You will also be doing API work to support 3rd party web services applications, for high-traffic, scalable applications supporting thousands of concurrent enterprise and consumer users.
Job Duties:
You will be developing systems designed to be scalable, flexible, secure and fault tolerant that have an immediate impact on the company's bottom line. The development challenges are complex and require highly skilled, talented engineers.
As a key member of the Software Engineering team, you will design, code, and test software for the company's core web applications and infrastructure. Projects include:
building the next generation of online tools for consumer and enterprise users,
engineering frontend and backend code for new industry vertical expansion plans
You will thrive in this team if you are bright, quick, and innovative - someone who's a self-starter and will dig deep into the system and find a variety of ways to improve it, who has not only an understanding of how web technologies work today, but what the future looks like.

Job Requirements:
Must have minimum of three (3) years professional Software Development / Web Development experience with Object-Oriented PHP or Java
Must have expert knowledge of PHP with an emphasis on using PHP in an object orientated framework
Experience developing high-volume, scalable web-based software in the cloud
Experience in developing and implementing custom widgets and web applications
Familiarity in utilizing and building API's and data feeds
Experience developing concise accurate functional specifications / user stories
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple simultaneous tasks
Experience with Spring, Jquery a plus, Symfony or Zend a plus.
Familiarity with Composer, Xdebug, PHPUnit a plus
Experience implementing REST API
Familiarity with current JavaScript Frameworks (Backbone, Angular, Bootstrap)
Understanding of DOM navigation with vanilla JS or Jquery, AS3 Flash/ Flex, Node.js, Less CSS, a plus
Educational Requirements: BSCS preferred or equivalent work experience.
SALARY: $70-95k (depending on experience)
