Job Description:
We are currently seeking a self-motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join a cross-functional team of Program Managers, Optical Engineers, Physicists, Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers and Technicians. The chosen candidate will work on a wide range of government and commercial projects including, but not limited to, passive optical components, fiber optic and free-space communication systems, imaging systems and machine automation. The candidate should have a strong background in engineering fundamentals and hardware design.
Responsibilities:
Develop hardware thru the full life-cycle, from concept through prototype, verification, test, system integration, and qualification
Be self directed as a lead electrical engineer and work as a team member in an IPT environment
Conduct trade studies to support hardware designs
Document and review designs with peers, management, and customers
Create technical presentations in support of monthly customer presentations and design reviews

U.S. citizenship required
Candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance
Strong knowledge of:
RF Design
Power supply design
Analog and mixed-signal circuit design
High speed serial communications
Electro-optical design and modeling
Simulation using tools (SPICE, MATLAB, etc.)
Schematic capture and layout tools
Demonstrated expertise in the development, prototyping, testing and transfer to production of electrical systems in a rapid-prototyping environment
Experience conducting risk analyses, trade studies and writing technical proposals
Experience communicating with customers on potential business opportunities.
Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skill
Education:
BS degree 10 years of experience in Engineering or related field or,
MS degree 7 years of experience in Engineering or related field
